Air Water Inc. faced challenges related to the purchase of indirect consumables, such as "invisible indirect consumable purchases," "difficulty in achieving volume discounts," and "high labor costs associated with purchasing." To address these issues, they implemented 'Monotaro,' which allows for easy searching and finding of items that are difficult to know where to purchase. Later, they integrated with Otsuka Shokai's "Tanomeeru Plus" and established a punch-out connection. The previously invisible purchasing situation of indirect consumables became data-driven by purchasing from Monotaro's 18 million products through Tanomeeru Plus, enabling control within their own system. They could quickly access information on where items were being used and where they were not, thus expanding their manageable scope.
